A “Fireside Chat”
I ran a fascinating discussion yesterday with Phil Priest, SVP Global Shared Services at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF).
We discussed the “4 Drivers of Business Value“, which is pretty much a “MUST” for anyone who needs to develop stakeholder alignment and support for strategies, initiatives, programs and projects.
We had a great turnout. I know some of you could not make the live event and wanted a copy of the recording, which is accessible here . . .
Phil described the 4 levers, themes that we should always remember to align with;
- Revenue growth & customer value
- Operating margin
- Asset efficiency
- Expectations
We also talked through the two key implications, or enablers, for this way of thinking and operating;
- End-to-End business process behaviours, “Shift Left” thinking and “earning the right” . . .
- Data & Data Driven Decision Making, and the key missing links in current approaches to “Key Business Questions”, Data “Meaning” through the lifecycle and “Data Enrichment” . . .
These topics are central to much of the work we are doing today, so if you have any questions or want any advice on these, let me know and I will connect you to the right person.
Our planned 30-35 minutes turned out to be 40 minutes, but it was a great conversation. Check it out here . . .
Best wishes for greater executive alignment and business value creation in 2023!
Thank you Phil.
