Happy Birthday Sarbanes-Oxley!

15 years on from its introduction, SOX is well into adolescence and has reshaped the governance landscape significantly. In companies that have used the regulation to their advantage, opinions have shifted – from being a cumbersome cost, to providing a streamlined focus for managing genuine risks, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act now feels like part of the furniture. Whilst its not always been plain sailing with implementation, its come a long way from its humble beginnings.
