The modern internal audit profession has been around for less than 100 years. Yet it is amazing how many myths and less than flattering stereotypes have evolved about the profession during that time. But there’s a lot more to Internal Audit than nit picking and bean counting.

Like many jobs, the role has changed significantly in the last 20 years, with huge technological advancement, updated compliance laws and ever changing business needs, audits role in the organisation has developed beyond checklists, to adding value and acting as a trusted advisor for business management.
